3 Things You Need To Know When Choosing The Colour Of Your Entrance Mat..
Seems like a strange question, but believe it or not, the colour of your entrance mat is vital. Entrance matting plays an important role in keeping business entrances clean and safe.
Entrance matting has one primary goal – to pick up the bulk of the dirt and water which is tracked in by employee and visitors.
Dark colours are better. The majority of matting should be dark colouring such as black, brown or dark grey. Lighter mats are available, but they will require more regular cleaning effort and are likely to discolour quicker. Whilst black and grey may not be part of your design décor, they are neutral and work effectively in the majority of workplace locations.
Thinking of a logo mat? Try not to over think the design. Whilst we can offer photo realistic logo mats, in most cases they are not practical for business use. Try a minimal amount of light grey or blue as a background or outline – this can easily make a logo or slogan pop.
But colour can work.. We recommend for the majority of cases that the darker the colouring the better. However there are occasions where vibrant and bright colours work. For example if you need to direct foot flow, the use of red or yellow boarding can be very effective. Likewise, if you are trying to highlight a warning or advisory message vibrant colours are more effective than natural colours.
